The advertising for the Eden Pure Gen 3 is not only false and deceptive but a total scam in my opinion. I was given an EdenPure Gen 1000 unit from a relative who recently purchased it and could not get it to consistently cycle on or off after about 30 hours of use. I tested it and found that it not only does not satisfactorily heat "up to 1000 sq, ft, " as advertised but would not even heat a small well insulated 450 sq. ft. room to a modest 70 degrees on a 38 degree outside day. Additionally, I monitored the humidity level before and after turning on the heater and found that the heater actually reduced the room humidity by 15% from the relative humidity of adjoining rooms.....despite their advertising to the contrary. I have another space heater that I purchased from Home Depot two years ago for about $[...] that out performs the EdenPure Gen 1000 by a ratio of 10 to 1 and DOESN'T reduce the humidity despite the claims by EdenPure. I understand that EdenPure has now come out with a "new and improved" GEN4 heater that has been "updated with the latest technology, safety. and comfort features....." "with no increase in price!"......what a great way to package the same old scam. LET THE BUYER BEWARE when thinking about purchasing this piece of junk.
Mine will be used to warm our dogs house in the garage where it is a better fit....although I chuckle when thinking of using a $400 heater for a dog and a $[...] heater for us.

This unit selling at a 'discount" price sells for $300....$300...$300!!!!!
Any plug in heater that plugs into a standard home outlet will max at 1500 watts and 5100 btu's. If you want to pay $300 for a 1500 watt heater, go ahead! But you can get one that heats just as good for $30. Unless this heater is gold plated, it's massivley overpriced.

We like the heater's compact size. For its size it heats the house very well. The real test will come later this winter. It was delivered in a timely manner and at acheaper price than other sites we checked. I like the fact it is on wheels, so it is easy to move around, or move out of the way if we are not using it.

We purchased two of these heaters directly from Eden Pure and have not been satisfied. The price was WAY over the top and the reliability and quality was atrocious. The astounding price would have been worth it if the heaters actually worked reliably, but of the two we purchased, one of them broke within the first year and the company will not return our calls.
And we were not informed until after our purchase that the quartz heating element has to be periodically replaced - an expensive task that cannot be done simply at home but requires the heater to be shipped back to the company on a regular basis AT THE CUSTOMER'S EXPENSE. When we purchased the unit, they told us that there were certified service centers nationwide, which was an outright lie. After our heater broke, we found out that there are vague plans to have certified service centers in the future, but currently none really exist! So if our unit needs any kind of service, we must ship it back. AND BELIEVE ME, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT QUICK ABOUT ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Otherwise, the actual heat is great and the unit is safe for kids and pets - I just think the technology is not advanced enough to be reliable and the company is not honest enough to back up their product. After they have your money, they never want to hear from you again.

I purchased this item last December for $334.99 and it worked fine for about 3 months, then it stopped functioning properly. It would cycle on and off but not produce any heat. My January electric bill was the highest it's ever been, the only difference being the EdenPURE! When I tried to obtain warranty service, EdenPURE CS twice advised me that my 3 year warranty was null and void because my seller, Sports Warehouse aka The Golf Store, even tho selling thru Amazon, was not an EdenPURE authorized reseller, so they declined to accept it for warranty repair. Amazon should require sellers to post either 'AUTHORIZED EdenPURE RESELLER' or 'UNAUTHORIZED EdenPURE RESELLLER/NO WARRANTY' in bold print. btw, SW/TGS is still selling these thru Amazon, and they're not alone!
