I've had this Lasko heater for 2+ years and it has worked like a charm... reliable, durable, a little soldier churning out heat. Controls are easy to use and there is a fan only setting for hot days. I keep it near me so the heat output is fine (not trying to heat up the entire room).
What I don't like about it though (and hence my 3 star rating) is the noise from the fan --- it's soooo loud; too loud to have in my office when I'm on the phone, and too loud in the room when the tv is on. If you want white noise when you fall asleep, this is the fan for you. But I'm looking for a new QUIET heater to replace this unit.

I am very pleased with this heater. It's quiet and puts out a lot of heat for its size. The dual setting is nice to control output. The thermostat seems to work OK. I have no complaints.

This heater successfully heats up small areas without taking up a lot of space. It's sturdy, solid, and doesn't get hot on the outside. It sounds like a regular room fan on a high setting. It smells really "toxic" at first, but that goes away after a couple uses. It warms up my unheated front porch to about 68F even when it's -10F outside.

We bought this at a local store. Great little heater. Heats our small room quickly, especially on the oscillate function. The fan is pretty quiet; however, it vibrates a lot. It vibrates the floor and even our kitchen table! We tried to put it on a rug to see if it would help, but it only helped a little bit. The vibration noise is like a dull bass feeling in the bones, like when you know a big truck is parked outside, idling it's motor. The heater kicked off for a few minutes, then when it went back on automatically it startled us! It sounded like a plane just landed abruptly in our kitchen! A nice heater except for this. It set our nerves on edge after just a few minutes of this constant vibrating growl. We are returning it. Maybe it would work for you if you aren't too sensitive to noise and vibrating furniture.
