received the heater in record fast time. assembly was a breeze. the heater puts out great heat, it is silent with the exception of a slight clicking when the thermostat turns the unit on. it is very light weight and simple to use. to heck with the expensive edenpure type heaters, i have one and it is garbage compared to this little gem. the warranty on this heater is also top-notch.

I have 3 of these heaters at home. In smaller to medium rooms, I turn the dial up to the third or fourth "dot" and it heats up the room really well. Not noisy at all. For larger rooms- we have an open floor plan, turning the dial all the way up warms the entire floor easily. I love its portability and does what it is supposed to do extremely well. I highly recommend this heater.

I am extremely disappointed in this heater. Maybe it would be good for a small bathroom but I got it to heat one room and it is very inadequate for that purpose. I was talked out of buying an infrared heater for this one and now I am sorry I spent the money. Yes, it cost less than the infrared but in the end I got what I paid for.

We use ours in the bathroom in the mornings and also in a room that is poorly insulated. Does a great job, heats up quickly and is silent. Only drawback is that, when new, it has to burn off dust and what not from the manufacturing process. This gives of a dusty smell that is a little unpleasant but not terrible. After that it's great.

I moved into an older home with central heating. Each time that heater went on, the noise level went up considerably and cold air would blow through the house, then the blower would send much too hot air around, then would shut off with some rooms too hot and others too cold. I decided to shut off the central heater, plug up the heater vents, and use something silent and reliable. I now have several convection heaters--they're silent, reliable, and the heating is even and steady, and they do a much better job of heating at less than half the cost of the electricity I used to use. The Bionaire Micathermic heater worked as advertised, right out of the box, after a few minutes of setup time. The heating is faster than my other two convection heaters--one an oil-based radiator--and no more asthma problems from dust being blown all over the place every time the central heater cranked up. So far, so good, but it will be six months or more before I know if this heater will be able to work continuously and reliably during the cold winter months.
